Xiaomi is officially in Nigeria with the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. The device comes with an impressive 48MP camera, a Snapdragon 660 Chipset, 4,000mAh of battery and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, with MIUI 10 on top of course. Best part? It costs just $150. Redmi was later last year announced to be a separate brand which makes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 to be the first in the Note series to carry the new banner. The new smartphone very much looks like the bigger version of the
Xiaomi Mi Play . In terms of specs, the smartphone fits perfectly in the mid-range category and has a 48MP rear camera as the highlight. Like the ones before it, the smartphone is priced in a way that gives it quite a good value for your money.

Design and Display

The design of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is pretty simple. It features a massive 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS display which is covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection with a water drop cut out/notch to house the front-facing camera. There is also a significant amount of chin at the bottom. At the back of the device are the usuals; a fingerprint sensor placed at the centre and a dual rear camera located at the top left side with an LED flash underneath.
